did you know that you can move thru text, word at a time with control left and/or right arrow?

...and that the home and end keys usually move you to the start or end of a line?

...and that page up and page down move up or down a chunk and that control home and/or control end moves you to the top or bottom of a document?

Question:

I have forgotten how to hone in on a key word in a large document. Can someone refresh me?

Por ejemplo, if I am researching lima beans, and I pull up a document that is 25,000 words, I know there is a way to zero in on "lima beans" right away, rather than visually scan the whole doc.

This is a very cool trick that saves a lot of time when you are looking for specific references not too mention avoiding the wear and tear on the old peepers.

Please help. I know this is a simple trick, I just done forgeted it.

I know there's a keyboard route, but I really really like my mouse.

lol!

F3 is find/refind...control F should also do that...

so press control f, enter "lima beans", then subsequent searches can be done using F3...

if you wish to search for files on your puter, try windows F...or windows E to bring up an explorer window...
