I got my main puter fully comabated for assaults with firewall, spywate, etc,

I have my kid's puter networked to mine. Do I need to do theirs too?

They do not have email, and IM function can be taken off.

Yes you do.
I have 3 connected here all loaded for protection. Some options set in port forwarding in the router too

You can't go wrong with AVG (grisoft) and zonealarm.

Bitdefender, McAfee and Norton security suites are ranked #1, 2 & 3 respectively.

ZoneAlalrm is #9, AVG isn't doesn't make the top 10 (program conflict issues with both).

I've used most of the software on that list at one point or another, had problems with zonealarm and a few others, right now I'm using Norton Internet security suite.

"Someone was paid to put avg down"??

WTF?

btw, ask anyone who's ever tried to, or who works in i.t. about removing norton stuff...
