The latest al-Libi video (2 Nov. 2006) is 17:41 long.
As-sahab production.
Arabic with English subtitles.
Nobody except al-Libi is seen or heard.
Good quality audio and video, using one fixed camera.
The film has been snipped in one or two places.
Two shots or explosions can be heard in the background, but al-Libi makes no reaction; probably some display or training is going on, off camera.
He does a eulogy to Abu Faruq al-Iraqi, who escaped from Bagram with al-Libi and two others, and was later killed in Iraq by the British.
He does a pep talk for the jihadis in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with a fairly standard recruiting speech, without snarling like Zawahiri or shrieking like al-Muhajir.
He tries to coax "the scholars of Islam" to assist in these "jihads" in some way, but he doesn't say how. In this portion, he mentions the first but not the second audio from Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, which he approves of, reminding the scholars of al-Muhajir's words about the plight of the (al-Qaida) jihadis under al-Muhajir.
Unlike a lot of recent al-Qaida material, this speech threatens some kind of action in the Arabian Peninsula; al-Libi says that Kufr will find that going to the Peninsula was a mistake as was going to Iraq. The other "jihads" he mentions are Afghanistan, Chechnya, Palestine, and Kashmir.
