I am just curious about the music everyone likes. I work in the business so music is my life.
I like moslty old school metal. Like Maiden, Black Sabbath, ACDC, and on. I also like heavy industrial. The new music of this era i really dont like i feel it has taken a turn for the worst, its to comcerialized and full of cheezy fake people. Just my opinion.
Feel free to enlighten me on any new tunes. I just rcently got into this group called Therion, they are a Symphonic Heavey metal group, the mix of opera music and metal cool!!! Check them out on there my space page.

From older "art rock" (Marillion) to relatively unknowns (Cowboy Mouth) to more mainstream rock (Foo Fighters, Everclear, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Mostly high-energy stuff, but I also have the more sedate goups like Cowboy Junkies, Counting Crows, etc. Kind of all over the rock map....
I also love covers. Almost any type, for some reason.

I'm pretty much a fan of older rock. I love the loooooong live jams of the 60's and early 70's such as the Allman Brothers "Mountain Jam", Derek and the Dominos "Let It Rain", Rare Earth "Get Ready", Grateful Dead "Franklin's Tower", and hundreds more like them.

I mostly love what I was raised on, classic rock such as The Beatles, Cream, Fairport Convention, Fleetwood Mac. I discovered some classic rock on my own, like Led Zepplin. As of late, I have been more attracted to Brit stuff, Ocean Colour Scene especially. I also like 90's bands like pearl jam, radiohead, stp, soundgarden, foo fighters. Some random stuff i like: Jamiroquai, Kula Shaker, Bob Marley. Newer Stuff: Hard-Fi, Muse, Snow Patrol. Singer/Songwriter stuff: Bob Dylan, George Harrison(love), RayLamontagne.
Good thread by the way!:)

I hope that was Classical music and not Classic Rock. If it's the former, I love you forever RoWeNa and think you're a man of high taste and cultural value. If it's the latter, then back to the truck stop you go.

Rachmaninov uber alles!
Of course I mean classical music..though I do like quite a bit of Classic rock as well.
I prefer Bach, but I also get lost in Chopin, Tchaikovsky, the above mentioned Rachmaninov, Brahms, Beethoven, and even Vivaldi, Revel, Handel and when I am feeling maudlin, Schubert :D

Oh totally, I love Bach a lot. His Cantatas/Passions/Oratorios are divinely supreme and just a pleasure to listen to. His Brandenburg Concertos, Orchestral Suites, Cello Suites and Sonaten und Partiten for Violin, along with the French and English Suites and Organ works are must listens as well. I think I have some 10 GB of Bach on my Ipod only (got his complete works by Hansselar as a gift, it's selling for almost $2000 nowadays).
Only beef I have with you RoWeNa is that you did not mention Mozart! How could you not! You must listen to a Mozart piano concerto, it's very calming and relaxing (I recommend No.s 9, 20, 21, 24, 25, and 26. No.7 for 3 pianos is charming too).
But yeah, I do like Classical Rock as well... love Pink Floyd and the Beatles mucho!
