Why an office setting? That's sooooo not Zawahiri!It might not mean much; it could just be the office or home of the guy who did the digital editing, or some other convenient interior.

Their intention might be to portray Zawahiri as being safe and in charge and in contact with others, when in reality he is apt to be in a basement or a tent in the boonies. Look at the second part of the video to see what I mean.

Another Zawahiri appearance that might have a false background is the "funeral" video about Zarqawi, with the rather fancy background including indirect red and blue lighting and a large picture of Zarqawi.

Movie people routinely film stunts, e.g. Superman flying, in front of a "green screen" (Google) and then digitally make all the green transparent, and then combine the stunt film with the background, which need not be stationary. Notice that Zawahiri wears a plain white robe in the current video, maybe to facilitate the automatic digital extraction of the white from the background.
