al-Turki was recently sentenced in Colorado to 28 years for abduction and rape and such. Equally remarkable (IMO) is that he operated some sort or publishing house or bookshop funded from KSA and he has the support of several badass sheikhs in KSA:

According to this piece in the state-controlled Saudi paper al-Watan, al-Turki's lawyer would like to get him shipped back to KSA "to serve out his sentence" there, on the ridiculous grounds that the conditions in the American prison are inhumane -- e.g. al-Turki is not allowed to wear a beard! The truth, I have no doubt, is that Riyadh, like the sheikhs I mentioned, wants al-Turki free.
