Today, one of the lions of Islam was killed,
and one of the heroes of Tawheed was martyred,
and with that one of theigniters of the wars passed away:
splitter of the heads of the Romans,
the sword unsheathed against the enemies of the religion,
the Mujahid commander Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi,
may Allah the Exalted have mercy upon him,
And so a bright page of contemproary history was closed,
a page whose lines were recorded in ink of blood,
and whose words were written in the light of resolve.

and whose letters were embellished with the pearls of faith.

Yes, Abu Mus'ab was killed, in the way that men are killed in the battlefields.

and he went out like the heroes go out. amidst the blows of the swords.

he bade farewell to this world as a steadfast confident emigrant Mujahid
who was neither swayed by the severest of tests

nor broken by the distractions of the time.

How often he waded into battle without fear.

and defied danger without hesitation or doubt.

And how much he pursued death at every turn.

and knocked at its doors at every rendezvous.

and he continued to seek it and strive for it

until he earned the honor of dying in the same way that he wore the clothes of glory and chivalry in his life.

He tosses onto the arenas some of his blood
To say: O world, come look and testify
For here we feed the fields of Jihad
By pouring on them waves of fresh blood
And here is the believers Ribaat and a place
For their Jihad or a sign for he who is guided
